El Valle de Ancon, an area in the Interior of Panama is home to many oddities - golden frogs and trees with square trunks!

Yes, these frogs really are colored like this for they are some of the noted Golden Frogs which exist apparently only in the one area of El Valle de Anton in the Interior of Panama. These particular three frogs were pets of my father and it was my daily task to "frog sit" them a while outdoors so they could catch their own food. Thinking others might be interested in seeing these special frogs, he even did a story plus photos of them for the local paper and invited the public to come see the frogs. You wouldn't believe the crowds that showed up!
